Coloured edge printing, also called painted edge or edge painted printing, adds a solid line of colour around the edges of thick card. From the front your design looks clean and simple. Pick it up and the bright edge catches the eye.

How ordering works
Order online, upload your artwork and we take it from there. Not sure your file is print ready? Every order gets a free artwork check.
- Choose your product and edge colour. Pick the card, quantity and one of 100 edge colours, and see the price straight away.
- Upload your artwork. A PDF at 300dpi with bleed works best.
- We check every file. If anything needs fixing, we tell you before it prints.
- Printed, trimmed and painted. Then delivered across the UK and EU, or collected from us in Maidstone, ME15.
Questions
Is coloured edge the same as painted edge?
Yes. Coloured edge, painted edge, edge painted and edge coloured all describe the same finish: colour applied to the cut edges of a stack of cards after printing.
Which colours can I choose?
Choose from 100 edge colours, including bright and pastel shades, fluorescents, metallic gold and silver, and black. Send a Pantone or hex reference and we'll pick the closest match.
Why does the card need to be thick?
The edge is only as wide as the card is thick. On 600gsm and 700gsm card the colour shows as a bold line; on thinner card it becomes a fine streak.
Can I get coloured edges on wedding stationery?
Yes. We print coloured edge save the dates, place cards and postcards on 600gsm card, so your stationery can match your wedding colours.
Do you deliver to Europe?
Yes, we deliver coloured edge cards across the UK and EU.
Do you paint edges for other printers?
